Dust continued to fill the skies over eastern Asia yesterday. The full-resolution version of this image also shows that the volcano, Mount Oyama, on the island of Miyake-jima due south of Tokyo, is also adding its own aerosols to the mix. The grayish plume can be seen drifting first eastward and then southeastward from the small island.A large patch of sea ice is visible in the upper right corner of the image to the north of Hokkaido.
